The film seems to strive for the same rock and roll vibe as the original, but forgets that Keanu Reeves and his costar are 30 years older. Regardless of the star-studded cast of lookalikes and current rap stars, this film doesn’t carry quite as tubular of a punch as the original.
Musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Louie Armstrong, Dave Grohl – and for some reason – Kid Cudi, make an appearance. Not only do we get to see Bill and Ted again, but we now get meet their kids Billie and Theadora. This film gives a nice nod to the original film and its 90s sequel, but adds a modern twist. Luckily this film answers the question of what a world saving rock song sounds like. they have yet to make the song that saves the world. Bill and Ted, the two surfer dudes from 1989 that brought Socrates to their history presentation, have aged and had kids.
